SOUTH AFRICA
Bush safari (best season March to October)
Marion Geiger owns Motswari Game Lodge in the Greater Kruger National Park.
Motswari consists of 3 camps:
· Motswari main camp: This is a traditional offering, one of the oldest game lodges in South Africa belonging to Marion's family for 40 years. Marion’s bush studio is located there and the camp offers 16 bedrooms
· Java camp: Sold per week to only one group of up to 12 guests in 6 chalets/bungalow. This was Marion family's private camp and it is the ideal place to do an art/safari stay. It is in the middle of the reserve, so there are plenty of game viewings, with a private Ranger in an open land rover. Java camp also has ideal spaces for each artist to have their own chalet/bungalow and great spacious communal spaces to gather to paint.
Art retreat: minimum 6 guests, maximum 9 guests in 6 bungalows for 7 nights on a full board basis including the art classes, game drives, all drinks but excluding art equipment and hard liquors.
· Geiger’s Camp: Catering for only 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, it is a stunning private luxury home turned over for discerning guests looking for privacy in their safari experience. 2 game drives per day, with a private Ranger in an open land rover.
Art retreat: minimum 4 guests, maximum 8 guests in 4 bedrooms for 7 nights on a full board basis including the art classes, game drives, all drinks but excluding art equipment and hard liquors.
