SINCE 1999, while spending more time with her young children, Marion has painted mainly on commissions and sold many works privately: her charcoal on partitions “Musical Portraits” series in 2010 received international credit. Marion was also inspired while traveling often to Indian Ocean Islands where she had open-studio events (Tamarin - Mauritius) or at her family Game Lodge in the Kruger Park, Motswari, where her works are exhibited regularly. In 2014, Marion and world renowned piano concertist Tian Jian performed a “Duet” to create awareness about rhino poaching, where Tian composed a piece of music while Marion was painting, both on the theme of the rhino, live in front of a large audience. The proceeds of the event and of the sale of the painting were donated to an association fighting against rhino poaching. Marion and her husband are the founders of the association Rhino Disharmony
